However, the SCCP (1.05%) of CB using H-VMAT was lower than that using T-VMAT (2%) as well as delivery efficiency. In the NTCP for the heart, H-VMAT (0.04%) was higher than T-VMAT (0.01%) and lower than IMRT (0.2%). When the setup error was accounted for dose accumulation, T-VMAT (95.51%) and H-VMAT (95.48%) had a higher CTV coverage than IMRT (91.25%). The interfraction and intrafraction setup errors were analyzed in each field and the accumulated dose was evaluated as the patients underwent daily surface-guided monitoring. Three different planning techniques were evaluated: tangential-VMAT (T-VMAT), intensity-modulated radiation therapy (IMRT), and H-VMAT. We retrospectively selected 32 patients treated by a radiation oncologist and evaluated the clinical target volume (CTV), including internal lymph node irradiation (IMNIs), and considered the planning target volume (PTV) margin to be 5 mm. In this study, we evaluated the robustness, radiobiological, and dosimetric benefits of the hybrid volumetric modulated arc therapy (H-VMAT) planning technique based on the setup error in dose accumulation using a surface-guided system for radiation therapy. Setup error is a key factor affecting postmastectomy radiotherapy (PMRT) and irradiation of the internal mammary lymph nodes is the most investigated aspect for PMRT patients. Irradiation of cancer cells thus alters gene expression levels of both solute carrier transporters (OATP1B1/1B3/1B7) and ABC transporters (MRP1/2) and decreases accumulation of ³ H-MTX in cancer cells over time due to elevated expression of MRP1/2. Accumulation of ³ H-MTX tended to decrease over time after irradiation. Gene expression levels of OATP1B1/1B3/1B7 were much lower than those of MRP1/2. Gene expression levels of MRP1/2 tended to increase after irradiation. After irradiation, gene expression levels of OATP1B1/1B3/1B7 showed changes in each cell line. In control, gene expression levels of OAT1 in all cells was below the limit of measurement. ![]() Cells were divided into three groups: Control without irradiation 4 h after irradiation and 24 h after irradiation. We examined expression levels of organic anion-transporting polypeptide (OATP)1B1, OATP1B3, OATP1B7, and organic anion transporter (OAT)1 as solute carrier transporters and multidrug resistance-associated protein (MRP)1 and MRP2 as ATP-binding cassette transporters, using real-time polymerase chain reaction and accumulation of ³ H-MTX in cancer cells after 10-Gy irradiation, assuming stereotactic body radiotherapy. Cancer cell lines were selected from lung and cervical cancer cell line that are commonly used for stereotactic body radiotherapy and effective with methotrexate. This study investigated relationships between accumulation of methotrexate and gene expression levels of solute carrier and ATP-binding cassette transporters in cancer cells after a single and high-dose X-ray irradiation. The anticancer drug methotrexate (MTX) shows affinity for solute carrier (SLC) and ATP-binding cassette (ABC) transporters. Stereotactic body radiotherapy (SBRT) is a single high-dose radiotherapy used to treat a variety of cancers. Chemoradiotherapy is frequently used to treat cancer.
